Nintendo is to invest over 12 billion yen for the construction of a new research and development facility in Kyoto, Japan.
The new building will be located close to Nintendo’s main office than the current R&D facility.
According to Nintendo, the facility will house 1,500 employees focusing on product development. The company hopes the move will improve the efficiency of its workforce.
Nintendo is expecting construction to being in January 2012 to be completed in 2013.
