Ubisoft has announced that rhythm game Just Dance 2 has become the best-selling Wii title in the US.
This news comes after Just Dance 2 was the highest-selling Wii exclusive in June’s NPD data overtaking the title of the original Just Dance.
“Ubisoft is incredibly proud of the monumental success Just Dance 2 has had the past nine months,” Ubisoft’s US boss Laurent Detoc said.
“The game’s outstanding performance solidifies the Just Dance brand as a pop culture phenomenon.”
The Just Dance franchise has sold 14 million units worldwide since its debut in 2009.
In other news, Ubisoft has released Just Dance 2 Extra Songs in PAL territories today.
Just Dance 2 Extra Song features 21 tracks available to download from the Nintendo Wii Shop Channel plus two exclusive songs bringing the total up to 23.
Ubisoft will also launch Just Dance 3 later this year on Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
