New PSP SKU sends chilling message as Vita sales decline.
Despite underwhelming Vita sales, Sony Europe has announced a new SKU for its budget PSP-E1000 heading to shelves in July.
The ice white version of the Europe-exclusive PSP-E1000 will launch with a £89.99 price tag.
Announced at Gamescom last year, the E1000 model is aimed at younger audiences sporting a trimmed RRP and a line-up of budget games alongside side it.
The E-1000 has a UMD drive and is larger and heavier that the PSP-3000 but lacks wi-fi functionality and stereo speakers.
This news may come as a surprise as Sony appears to be pushing the PSP (in Europe at least) when it has a struggling PlayStation Vita to be marketing.
