PSP Price Tumbles

Published on December 19th, 2011

GAME has slashed the price of brand new 3000 consoles to just £39.99, according to members of deals website HotUKDeals.

According to reports, the unit is available for that price in red, blue, black and white.

The handheld normally retails for around £120.

But if you can’t find one at GAME, all hope isn’t lost quite yet. Electrical retailer Comet is also selling the handheld at the cut price of £49.99 and throwing in a copy of FIFA 09.

A new, budget model of the PSP launched in October. The E1000, which features a slightly altered design and matte finish, costs £84.99.

The tumble in price is most likely as a result of retailers wanting to clear their warehouses of stock prior to the arrival of PSP’s successor, PlayStation Vita.

Vita launches in the UK on February 22nd.
