Sony is to cease production of the PSPgo in a number of regions according to numerous reports.
A UK retail source told MCV that suppliers had warned that stocks of Sony’s handheld would "not be receiving replenishments".
Similar reports are coming out of Japan.
Sony has yet to provide an answer as to the fate of the PSPgo saying simple that, "the current generation of PSPs continue to be in demand, especially since the introduction of our value for money, Essentials range of games and we will continue to meet that demand."
The PSPgo launched worldwide in fall 2009 and was met with a luke warm response.
Sony has vigorously marketed to UMDless handheld offering up to 10 free titles with the system.
