MotorStorm RC has been, ahem, going down a storm with PS3 and PlayStation Vita owners, SCEE has revealed, announcing that the game has been downloaded an average of 19 times a minutes since its launch at the end of February.
Though actual sales figures remain undisclosed, the impressive stats suggest that MotorStorm RC could be Vita’s most downloaded title.
A new MotorStorm RC event begins somewhere in the world every second, Sony added, and an average of eight trophies are awarded to MotorStorm RC players every minute.
“MotorStorm: RC has been a huge success since launching earlier this year in Europe and North America,” said SCEE.
“MotorStorm: RC’s cross-platform play means that fans can enjoy the gaming experience on both PS3 and PS Vita with just a single purchase. This multi-platform model compliments Sony’s innovative Cross Play feature that allows users to synchronise saved data whilst on-the-move with PS Vita or at home using their PS3.”
Developed by MotorStorm Apocalypse developers Evolution Studios, MotorStorm RC is a top-down time-trial spin-off of the core MotorStorm series.
The game’s latest DLC, the ‘Carnival Expansion Pack’, launched earlier this week packing in 24 events on six new circuits.
Company of Heroes 2, Batman: Arkham Origins, Grand Theft Auto V, Watch_Dogs, Beyond: Two Souls and Night of the Rabbit previews.
