Essentially the brutal beastie butchery of old let loose with the power of the Cell, God of War III's looking to impress us all with its fusion of combat, puzzle/platforming and stunningly rendered mythological environments and creatures - and we've got 16 exclusive screens showing our favourite anti-hero tearing them apart.

The action on show during the E3 demo, which we've found ourselves hopelessly addicted to over the past few weeks, leaves us with a tantalising taster of what to expect from Kratos' first PS3 outing, as the constant shower of claret reassures us that GOW III is still very much the God of War we know and love.

Look out for Kratos' body dynamically becoming more and more covered in blood, too, as he butchers the living daylights out of everything that moves. Because This Is Living. Or not.

God of War III launches exclusively on PlayStation 3 in March.
