We know what you're thinking. It's another God of War clone, right? Well, you're not entirely wrong. But while Darksiders' hack & slash origins may well dwell under the same roof as God of War's, scratching beneath the surface reveals it to be a very different beast.

Darksiders 10 Mins Part OneOf course, playing as War, the first Horseman of the Apocalypse, it's still your job to give every man, demon and beast that stands in your way their comeuppance (or as the Council would rather put it, their judgement), but as you'll see from our exclusive First 10 Minute gameplay video to your left, there are some key differences between this and all the other GoW-alikes.
The biggest of which is the camera. Darksiders' viewpoint offers a very different experience to that of God of War, Dante's Inferno or Devil May Cry in that it features a more traditional third-person camera, as opposed to the static sweeping camera found in those games. Because of that (and its relatively slower pace), Darksiders feels very different to play, more akin to a more typical hack and slash like Ninja Gaiden than Kratos' sword-swinging adventure.
