SCEE has announced that a "Stereoscopic 3D Collection" containing 3D-enabled versions of WipEout HD, PAIN and Super Stardust HD, and an exclusive 3D demo of MotorStorm Pacific Rift will be released on PlayStation Network tomorrow.

The collection, which is being priced at £23.99/29.99 Euros, marks the first time PlayStation 3 owners have been able to experience stereoscopic 3D on their console, which Sony says gives gamers "a whole new perspective and a new way to experience some of their favourite titles".

You'll need to have already picked up a 3D TV if you want in on the three-dimensional action, of course, and if you've already bought the games separately, an update will be provided free of charge to allow you to play them in full 3D.

However, judging by the press release, the MotorStorm Pacific Rift demo will only be available to gamers who buy the pack, rather than being released as an free download on PSN.

The collection will also be available for free to users who pick up a Sony Bravia 3D TV.

"PlayStation has always been about outstanding entertainment," said SCEE President Andrew House. "The stereoscopic 3D Collection showcases the depth of technology behind PS3 and gives us a feel for the potential for future releases. Stereoscopic 3D technology coupled with the likes of PlayStation Move motion controller allows us to create an ever more compelling, realistic and immersive experience.

"Add to that our online capabilities, community interaction features, our film and music services and you've got a very exciting proposition for the future of home entertainment."

It's assumed that Sony will be making a big deal out of 3D at next week's E3, with Killzone 3 already confirmed to take advantage of PlayStation 3's stereoscopic 3D compatibility. But have you forked out for the tech?
