Via the UK PlayStation portal, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe brings news that 2010 will feature public beta trials for "many exciting PlayStation 3 titles."
The online first person shooter, MAG, has just completed a successful public beta trial ahead of its launch later this week, and the beta phase for the karting game ModNation Racers is currently in full swing, but what other beta trials could be in the planning?

This was the same response that Gamerzines got when contacting on Sony spokesperson to comment on the news. So that leaves us to speculate on which "exciting" games will include a beta phase, but we've been struggling to think of many currently announced games that would warrant a beta trial. Final Fantasy XIII, very possibly? Maybe even the fantasy RPG, White Knight Chronicles; but what else is there?
Unless someone in the Sony camp has just got terribly excited when they revealed the news that 2010 will pay host to public beta trials for "many exciting PlayStation titles" then there must be a decent number of games yet to be revealed that have a heavy online component. Killzone 3, though it hasn't even been officially announced, is a potential candidate, but we're stumped as to what other games might include a beta phase.
We're intrigued, but it looks as though we'll just have to keep our eyes on the PlayStation blog for more information.
If we do hear anything though, we'll let you know
