The latest patch taking the game to version 1.02 will hit networks tomorrow and will tweak some of the interface elements surrounding the medic.

For our latest MAG coverage, click here to download P3Zine Issue 32 for free.For those carrying the medic kit, you will no longer see the medic symbol above others carrying the kit, which makes a lot of sense since you can heal yourself. You will still see the symbol above those carrying the resuscitation kit, since when you're laying there waiting to die it's nice to see who is ignoring your cries.
To further de-clutter your screen you now won't see the icon for downed soldiers unless you have the means to help them. If you are carrying a resuscitation kit as well as seeing the downed man, you will also get a distance indicator letting you judge whether it's safe to go and save them.
Basically, then the patch, which will weigh in at 50MB just makes it easier to work out who to save for those that can save them. That's it as far as we can tell, but it would surprise us if there were some minor balancing tweaks being applied.
