Hustle Kings Out Now

Stop waiting hours for a substandard game of pool in home because this PS3-exclusive has got shiny balls!

Ever since Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker on the Amiga, a few of us have an unhealthy obsession with shiny coloured balls. There have been plenty of snooker/pool games since then and even though Hustle Kings only caters for the pool audience (at the moment), we're still rather excited to see how it plays.

Off-kilter camera angles are optional.
Fortunately for us the waiting time is over as Sony have announced that Hustle Kings will finally be released today, for the princely old sum of £6.29 or 7.99 Euro. We have yet to give it a whirl, but we are hopeful that it isn't all chutzpah and no substance.

Expect plenty of elaborately designed balls.
According to the European Playstation Blog:

Hustle Kings
This bar needs more business.
"If you're a fan of turning your skills into (virtual) cash, then Hustle Kings is for you. With graphics, a physics engine, a whole host of offline game modes including (but not limited to) career, trick shots, local tournaments, as well as an online hustle mode and topped off with an intuitive control method."

Players will also be able to upload their finest trick-shots onto YouTube and listen to their own music via the XMB, so it certainly sounds like a - polished - experience.

Our own David Scammell will give you his final verdict in the next issue of P3Zine, which is out in January.
