Review hype helps to spur sales of God of War III and PS3s
Flying off the shelves, apparently. And deservedly so.

Pre-order sales of Sony's PlayStation 3 exclusive hack 'n slash action title, God of War III, have been going through the roof since Internet reviews were launched on Monday, 8th March.
Speaking to Gamerzines, a spokesperson from GAME said today: "Pre-orders were rising steadily last week but since Monday they've been coming in thick and fast. We have plenty of stock to cope with demand though."
When asked whether they'd seen a significant rise in the sales of PS3 hardware they said that though they couldn't put a figure on it, but there's been a lot more interest in the PS3 this week, which has also been spurred on by the launch of Final Fantasy XIII.

It just goes to show that Internet review hype can help to sell games. We cetainly hope so, because if any game deserves to sell a PS3 it's God of war III.
