Dead Space is set to become a live-action movie, US mag Variety has revealed, with EA likely to auction the property to movie studios this September.
The film's due to be directed by D.J. Caruso, the US director behind Disturbia and Eagle Eye, which both coincidentally star Transformers lead Shia LaBeouf. Could Shia be donning Isaac's suit and heading out to the Ishimura? That'll be the day.

Nope, we didn't know they were making a film on that last one either.
Interestingly, Variety reveal that EA is currently "working on the second and third installments" of the Dead Space franchise, presumably referencing upcoming Wii spin-off Dead Space: Extraction and confirming the existence of Dead Space 2.
