Though the rally champ may no longer be with us, Codemasters' respected videogame series lives on.
DiRT 2 places more emphasis on showboating stadium events than its predecessor, signing up jump-happy US rally driver Ken Block for the sequel. It also features a much-improved handling model, and Codemasters are keen to stress that they've listened to fan feedback and made the appropriate changes.
Cars now feel much more weighty than ever before and they've also implemented greater tyre physics as well as an enhanced lighting model that allows for environmental fog, nicer-looking sun flair and a deferred lighting system that enhances the visual effects for night driving.
