RAGE
RAGE is a first-person shooter/racing hybrid from id Software which takes place on a futuristic, post-apocalyptic Earth devastated by a nasty collision with a passing comet. Why they didn't get Bruce Willis to sort it out before it hit, we'll never know.

For our latest RAGE coverage, click here to download P3Zine Issue 56 for free.RAGE's racing component is said to be have been influenced by racing stalwarts MotorStorm and Burnout, with a Mad Max feel to the environments, though the game's Teen rating means RAGE foregoes id's usual ultraviolence. Still, it looks the part - utilising id's Tech 5 engine to excellent effect.
Players are able to upgrade their vehicles with the money they gain after each race, adding additional parts or tweaking parameters to improve the performance of the rides.
