The Castlevania series is taking a fresh new turn after the unveiling of the upcoming title Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, which will be a new 3D action adventure game. There will be two development teams working together on this title, which sees European developers Mercury Steam team up with the much heralded Kojima Productions studio. Good things can only come out of this collaboration, well we hope! The game boasts some impressive visuals on display as well as an engaging plot filled with characters voiced by an impressive Hollywood cast, consisting of the likes of Robert Carlyle, Patrick Stewart, Natasha McElhone and Jason Isaacs.
The plot will revolve around Gabriel, who's a man on a mission after his wife was savagely killed by dark forces who he must now overcome to save the world from annihilation. To do so he must roam the earth seeking out and destroying all the dark Lords of Shadows who are threatening to end the world with their destructive reign, unleashing chaotic monsters and creatures upon the earth. As a knight of the Brotherhood of Light, a group of holy elite who guard the world from supernatural evil, he is well equipped for this huge quest. Plus he's armed with a pretty impressive weapon in the Combat Cross, oh and he's also guided by spirit of his departed wife who's unfortunately trapped on earth until he accomplishes his quest.
