Five Wii Games that PlayStation Move Needs

These classics should definitely switch to a new platform.

With Sony wowing GDC with their new motion controller named Move, GamerZines takes a look at a handful of Wii titles which may be better suited to the PS3.

Little King's Story:

This excellent RTS/ RPG from now bankrupt CiNG was one of our favourite games of last year on any platform. Despite widespread critical acclaim its sales were disappointing to say the least, only managing 170,000 units worldwide. Time to give this under appreciated gem a second chance on the PS3, and who knows perhaps the interest may in some way save this company and allow them to make a sequel.

Boom Blox:

One word, multiplayer. An online version of this Jenga-inspired puzzler would do extremely well on PSN and quickly build-up a cult following. Featuring a strong level design and water tight gameplay, this is the perfect example of a game taking a simple concept and running with it. Boom Blox would also be a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate the subtleties of Sony's Move hardware whilst appealing to a wide ranging demographic.

Dead Space Extraction:

Rumours of this rail-shooter appearing on a HD console have been floating around since February and as another Wii game which experienced ridiculously low sales given its quality, we wouldn't rule out EA considering a Move enabled version. Due to its relatively short playtime this would be best served by an PSN release but that doesn't mean it would be anything less than a must-buy.

Epic Mickey:

Why is Disney Interactive making a game by Warren Spector a Wii exclusive? Porting this title over to the PS3 would guarantee this game's success and open it up to a much wider audience. Admittedly Mickey Mouse isn't as popular as Solid Snake or Nathan Drake when it comes to the hardcore, but its interesting take on the Disney universe would be much better served on a more mature console. Featuring a maniacal rabbit named Oswald, moral choices and a mechanical Donald Duck - Epic Mickey is definitely a game worthy of more than one platform.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories:

This horror franchise has always been synonymous with the Playstation brand, so Konami would know exactly what they were doing when porting it to the PS3 with Move support. Somewhat of a reboot, the latest entry in the series is more of a psychological thriller with steady pacing and elaborate puzzles. Motion sensitive gameplay is present throughout, whether it be breaking bottles to find keys, piecing together puzzles or using a flashlight to scope out your surroundings.

Whether we see any of these titles make the leap to the PS3 remains to be seen. But if there's enough of a demand out there for any of these titles to make an appearance who knows what the future may bring. After all many games on this list sold relatively poorly compared to the Wii's other big sellers and perhaps a change of platform is just what the doctor ordered.
