Free PC games magazine goes monthly

For immediate release Free PC games magazine goes monthly Issue 2 of PCGZine includes an exclusive Lord of the Rings Online preview, an exclusive Enemy Territory: Quake Wars interview and more. PCGZine, the free magazine written by professional games journalists, has made its second issue available for download. Coinciding with the publication, Cranberry Publishing Ltd is pleased to announce that the title is now to be published every month. “A free, well written magazine has obviously resonated well with PC gamers,” says Gamerzines Publishing Director, Dave Taylor. “The response to the first issue has been incredible, and so we’re pleased to confirm that the title will now be published monthly, bringing more of the writing and interactive content that the readers have asked for.” Issue 2 includes an exclusive hands-on preview of Lord of the Rings Online, together with other previews of Fields Ops, Vanguard and a special preview of S.T.A.L.K.E.R, which includes the chance for readers to win on of 50 beta keys to play the game before their friends! There’s an exclusive interview with Paul Wedgwood, better known as Locki from Splash Damage, talking about the development of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, one of 2007’s most anticipated PC games. “With the interview on Quake Wars, as with other pages in the magazine, we decided to really go to town,” says Taylor. “Where print magazines are stuck with static images, we can add interactivity, like animations and even an interactive quiz where gamers can show just how much they know about ET: QW.” Filling out the rest of the free magazine are reviews of Maelstrom, Armed Assault, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, Star Trek: Legacy and a feature on the implication of Windows Vista for gamers. PCGZine is a Gamerzine, published in PDF format. Readers simply require a copy of the free Adobe Reader (version 6 or above) to read the magazines. Each Gamerzine includes more than 30 pages of professionally written games journalism and is enhanced with embedded video and multimedia.
