The Walking Dead is certainly the most intricate adventure series Telltale has ever created, with branching choices fundamentally altering the nature of the series. Characters can live or die based purely on player decisions, funnelling the plot down different avenues; frankly it sounds like a game designer’s worst nightmare.
And judging from footage from Telltale’s PAX keynote describing development of the series, it seems like that assertion isn’t entirely unfair. In a stroke of genius players can now watch the panel in full with lead writer Gary Whitta, project leads Sean Vanaman and Jake Rodkin talking about the challenges associated with producing what has been one of this year’s best surprises.
Talented voice actor and esteemed Michael J. Fox soundalike A.J. LoCascio hosts the session which features a brilliant Q&A with members of the audience.
