£5 of every copy sold goes to charity.
Ubisoft has announced it has partnered with retailer HMV for a special charity contribution.
For every copy of Ubisoft’s guitar-tutoring game Rocksmith ‘purchased in the UK’, £5 will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust with Ubisoft and HMV splitting the tab 50/50.
“We are exceedingly excited to be launching Rocksmith in the UK this week,” said Ubisoft UK’s managing director Rob Cooper.
“The game literally provides real-life benefits by teaching people how to play an actual guitar, and we hope to inspire the next generation of rock stars in the UK and beyond. Moreover, I couldn’t be more pleased to be partnering with HMV to raise much-needed funds for Teenage Cancer Trust.”
Rocksmith launches on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 28th and on PC on October 19th.
