Pre-orders for co-op horror Dead Space 3 are “tracking almost five times higher that Dead Space 2,” EA Labels president Frank Gibeau told investors during the publisher’s Investor Relations call last night.
Dead Space 3 came under fire when it was introduced at E3 this year for its new co-op campaign and emphasis on action over horror.
Gibeau believes that these changes are helping the series.
“We believe the new co-op gameplay feature is attracting a lot of attention and a broader audience,” said Gibeau.
We recently went hands-on with Dead Space 3′s single-player and co-op campaigns delivering our verdict with five things we’re loving about Visceral Games latest.
EA also revealed that Crysis 3 pre-orders are “roughly three-times what they were for Crysis 2, at this time in 2010.”
