PS3 version not yet available, Bethesda still optimising…
Overnight the first expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, titled Dawnguard, appeared on Steam for £13.99.
PC fans have been waiting for the launch of the bulky expansion since it appeared on Xbox 360 last month. Unfortunately PlayStation 3 owners will still have a to wait a little while longer however, as it appears Bethesda is still in the process of optimising the new slice of content for the BluRay-enhanced hardware.
“We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren’t going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people’s experience in Skyrim will be worse,” read a statement from Bethesda, picked up by VG247.
“We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to user mods, to paid DLC. We’re as disappointed as our fans when that isn’t the case, but we’ll continue to push for that reality.”
We’ll have a review of Dawnguard in the next issue of PCGZine.
