Publisher aims for 7 million sales before March 31st, 2013.
Capcom has shipped 4.5 million copies of Resident Evil 6 worldwide, breaking the publisher’s company record.
That’s 0.1 million over the previous record held by Resident Evil 5 which shipped 4.4 million copies in 2009.
Capcom is forecasting sales of 7 million by the end of this financial year (March 31st, 2013).
Resident Evil 6 launches on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this week. A PC version is currently in development.
The publisher’s biggest selling game to date is Super Street Fighter 2 on the SNES with 6.3 million sales.
