Renewal sparks HD release rumours.
Sega has renewed the Skies of Arcadia trademark sparking rumours that the much-loved RPG could be next in line for the high definition treatment.
A sky high pirate RPG, Skies of Arcadia was released on the tail end of the Dreamcast’s short-lived career and was later ported to Nintendo GameCube in 2003.
Sega has been plundering the depths of its heritage favourites as of late with a HD remake of Dreamcast hit Jet Set Radio out later this month and spruced up ports of Sonic Adventure 2 and NiGHTS into Dreams due in October.
When GameReactor enquired about Skies of Arcadia earlier this year, Sega hinted that it might be working on a HD remake for the RPG.
Earlier this year GamerZines revealed information that Sega is also sitting on finished HD remakes of Shenmue and Shenmue II, both of which have been hinted at but not confirmed for release.
