BFG edition to add extra levels, remastered visuals, and more.
2004′s PC classic Doom 3 is to be remastered for current generation systems as Doom3: BFG Edition this autumn.

A new checkpoint system will also be introduced into the game and the Doom 1 and 2 will included in the BFG package.
id software will also spruce up the package with 5.1 surround sound, 3D support, and achievement and trophies to boot.
“Doom 3 was enthusiastically embraced by gamers worldwide at its release,” said id tech boss John Carmack.
“Today, the full experience has been enhanced and extended to be better than ever, and is delivered across all the platforms with a silky smooth frame rate and highly responsive controls.”
“New support for 3D TVs, monitors and head mounted displays also allows players to experience the game with more depth than ever before. We think shooter fans everywhere will love it.”
