Activision’s open world kill-em-up knocks The Witcher 2 off the number one spot.

The Witcher has been relegated to sixth place in the UK chart with Activision’s Prototype 2 taking the top spot. The chart, put together by Chart Track, which only takes into account bricks and mortar retail sales can be seen below:

- Mass Effect 3
- Kinect: Star Wars
- The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
- Tiger Woods PGA Tour
- Battlefield 3
- Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games

Britain’s love of football is once again more than apparent with both FIFA Street and FIFA 12 ranking well, who said the spin-off would saturate the market? And it’s also worth noting that Saints Row: The Third has returned to the top ten despite being out since November, proof if any was needed that great games can stand the test of time.
