Sony promises the “future of PlayStation” at next week’s Gamescom conference

Sony Computer Entertainment has announced it will be live streaming its Gamescom conference live from Cologne, Germany next Tuesday.

The company has pegged the show to reveal the “future of PlayStation” where Sony is set to announce new first party offerings and clarify rumours that the hardware maker has a slimmer model of of the PlayStation 3 ready to roll out.

Post-conference, Sony will host a panel with industry veterans including SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Toshia, thatgamingcompany co-founder Kellee Santiago, Media Molecule co-founder Alex Evans, and Giant Sparrow co-founder Ian Dallas who will be answering questions submitted on Twitter using the hashtag #PSGC.
