A pair of job listings that have cropped up on Visceral Games’ website suggest that the team may already be hiring for programmers to work on the next Dead Space.
The job listings, which ask for a Senior Level Designer and Senior Rendering Engineer to join the "Dead Space team", say that the job roles offer "a major opportunity to contribute creatively to an exciting franchise."
"We seek a Senior Rendering Engineer for the Dead Space franchise at Visceral Games to bridge the gap between the high level visual vision for the game and the low level moving pixels," reads the listing for a Senior Rendering Engineer. "Most importantly, they should thrive on writing hard core graphics rendering code that generates fast, optimized, beautiful pixels."
Dead Space 2′s executive producer tweeted "Visceral Games is hiring a Rendering Engineer" over the weekend, asking for people to "get the word out please".
Besides Dead Space 1 & 2, Visceral Games have developed numerous titles in recent years, including last year’s Dante’s Inferno. But unlike other job advertisements for Visceral, the job listings specifically seek employees for the "Dead Space team".
Could Dead Space 3 be in the works already?
Dead Space 2 launched at the end of January on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. According to EA, the game shipped almost 2 million units within its first week on sale.
