Published on March 9th, 2011

Sony has announced cuts to three of it’s UK studios axing project in the process.

Sony Liverpool, Sony London and Evolution Studios are awaiting news to see how staff will be affected by a ‘restructuring process’ that will affect unannounced projects.

Evolution Studios’ MotorStorm Apocalypse is to be released on UK shelves next week.

According to Develop-Online, the project will be cut because "resource should be reallocated to enhance projects closer to completion".

"It has been decided that production on a small number of projects within London Studio, Studio Liverpool, and Evolution Studios will be streamlined or closed due to a portfolio review and project prioritisation," read a Sony statement issued to Develop.

It has been confirmed that LittleBigPlanet studio Media Molecule will not be affected by the cuts.
