PlayStation Mini title Me Monstar: Hear Me Roar"" will suffered a short-term delay due to the on-going PlayStation Network outage.
The action arcade title was been delayed indefinitely until the PlayStation store goes back online later this month.
The game’s developer Cohort Studios spoke exclusively with GamerZines about how the downtime has affected the game’s release.
"Obviously any delay is concerning, however we will have to wait and see how the issues affect consumer confidence in the platform, said CEO Lol Scragg.
"If consumers are worried about purchasing through the PlayStation Store, then that will obviously have an affect on our sales. At this moment, we just don’t know what the consumer reaction will be once the store reopens."
Scragg went on to say that he hopes consumers understand that no network is 100 percent and that the PlayStation Store should return highly secure:
"There have been many data intrusions but I don’t think any have been as high profile as this one, especially given the mainstream media have also been covering the story, explained Scraag. "However, many people are so used to digital purchasing now via the likes of Amazon and iTunes, then I would hope they would realise the no network is 100% secure and that the PlayStation Store is now likely to be one of the most secure digital purchasing platforms available."
When asked how actively Sony had been communicating with developers affected by the downtime, Scragg told us Sony had been communicating with Cohort Studios "directly and appropriately".
