PS2 turns 10

Sony’s Playstation 2 has turned 10 in Europe having launched on November 24th 2000.

Truly the console of the millennium, in its 10 year prime the Playstation 2 has played host to a number of gaming classics from Final Fantasy to Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo to Grand Theft Auto.

The system’s best seller was Grand Theft Auto San Andreas selling almost 20 million units since its launch in 2004.

Sony has continued to support the PS2 since launching the PS3 in 2006.
