Gears of War has ‘zero chance’ of jumping ship to PlayStation 3, says series’ designer Cliff Bleszinski.
“I would say in the foreseeable future there’s zero chances of Gears of War being on the PlayStation 3,” said the Epic Games’ design director who appeared to be tired of hearing the question put to him by IndustryGamers.
“Can we bury that now? Seriously. It’s like, we have a great deal with Microsoft, they’re a great partner…”
Bleszinski also silenced any prior comments about the series coming to PS3 as quotes made to excite the press.
The Gears of War series has been synonymous with Xbox 360 since the original launched in 2006.
Microsoft has had a first-hand approach to the game’s marketing, currently putting its elbow grease into Gears of War 3 due out on September 20.
