Zipper Interactive’s multiplayer first-person shooter MAG is to receive an additional expansion next week, titled ‘Escalation.’
Announced on the EU PlayStation Blog by Elliot Martin, European Producer for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, the ‘Escalation’ Add-on Pack will be available to download from the PlayStation Store on November 3rd, priced at £6.29/ 7.99 Euro.
Set to introduce ‘Escalation,’ 32-man platoons for each PMC (SVER, Raven and Valor) are set to be pitted against each other within a single 96-player match. Whichever side earns the set number of requisite points before the time runs out, or have the most when it does.
Such battles are to be divided into two phases, with the first phase seeing all three teams try to hold the map’s A, B and C objectives. When any side controls two of the three objectives, phase two will begin where the PMC that previously held the two objectives must now defend objective D from the two opposing sides. If D is lost, gameplay reverts back to phase one.
Players will be able to battle across three completely new maps, including the volcanic beaches of "Isla de Magma," the mountainous "Silverback Ridge," and the desert wasteland of "Radiant Barrens."
Further to this, the pack will also introduce nie new weapons which are as follows:
