HMV has launched ‘RE/PLAY’, a new iPhone app that lets users find out how much their games and consoles are worth directly from their iPhone.
The free App, which is available to download now from the App Store, lets users scan in a game’s barcode or search for a specific title to find out how much cash or credit they’ll receive for their unwanted games without having to enquire at their local store.
We’ve tested it out by scanning in a few of our old games, and it might well be worth checking out. You might be surprised by how much some of your old stuff is worth.
The entertainment retailer is the first in the industry to offer an App that lets users check trade-in prices from their phone.
Other Apps from rival retailers, such as GAME and Gamestation, currently only allow users to buy products or check the balance on their points card from their phone.
