IO Interactive Community Manager Nick Price has confirmed that special editions and pre-order packs are in the works for Hitman: Absolution when it launches next year.
“Yes,” said Price replying to a question on Hitman Forum asking whether the team had any ideas for pre-order packs.
“And special editions. I’m not aware of what the end products are going to look like but I know that the guys are looking to craft some sweet stuff for the collectors out there.”
The confirmation of special ‘editions’ shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise given the multiple special editions lined up by Square Enix for Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s release this August, although we’re fascinated to find out the contents. We can’t see a bonus fiber wire being all that legal…
But do we really want to see pre-order bonuses in a Hitman game? Leave us a comment to let us know what you think.
Hitman Absolution launches in 2012 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
