Gran Turismo 5 will be receiving three new updates next week, SCEE has announced.
The first pack, ‘DLC Car Pack 2′, which features four additional cars, will launch on PlayStation Network next Wednesday, 21st December and include the 2012 Nissan GT-R Black edition R35, 2011 MINI COOPER S, 2010 Volkswagen Golf VI R, and a 2010 Volkswagen Scirocco R.
A UK price for the pack is still to be announced, but to give you an idea as to what you should expect to pay, it’s due to cost 3.99 Euros in mainland Europe.
Also releasing on the same day is the ‘Family Upgrade’, a free update that will allow users who purchased the DLC Racing Car Pack 1 and Course Pack 1 to use the content on every PSN account attached to their PS3. Previously the content would only be useable on the account that initially downloaded it.
And finally, the release of Functionality Update 2.02, will add “several new enhancements” to the game, including the ability to change wheels on standard cars, a ‘copy’ feature for settings sheets, the option to see how modifications will affect performance, and the addition of free tickets to wash your cars.
The Functionality Update will also gift players a new car, the Toyota FT86 ’12.
Just like the others, that’ll also be available on December 21st.
Gran Turismo 5 is available now exclusively on PlayStation 3.
