We didn’t think we’d ever be saying these words. After years in development, Gran Turismo 5 is finally available to buy on PlayStation 3.
Arguably the most anticipated racing game of all time, Gran Turismo 5 launched at midnight tonight – and first impressions from gamers are good.
"It feels like Christmas Day," commented one user speaking on the Official PlayStation forums, while a member on games forum GRcade said that he was "loving everything about the game so far and i haven’t even scratched the surface".
The game’s already found some critics though, with some members of NeoGAF citing problems with loading times and a poor sensation of speed. Give it some time, eh guys?
Want a professional’s opinion? The embargo on reviews lifts at 8am GMT in the morning.
Gran Turismo 5 is the latest simulation racer from Polyphony Digital, the Japanese development team who first announced the title at E3 2005. First expected to release around the launch of PS3, the game has since been subject to numerous high-profile delays, with the final release date being announced less than two weeks ago.
It’s out now though, so go play it, yeah?
