Here’s a dev with some Christmas spirit.
Evolution Studios has rewarded a handful of loyal MotorStorm fans with a free 12 month subscription to PlayStation Plus, following the finale of a weekly ‘MotorStorm Mondays’ tournament held on video games forum GRcade.
According to posts on the forum, Evolution Studios’ Game Director Matt Southern personally PM’d the lucky recipients to inform them of their reward, telling them that he "loved what you do. The last video you posted made us feel slightly sad that you were wrapping things up but also very nostalgic."
"Happy Holidays, and thanks again for all the passion, commitment and humour you and everyone else involved in MotorStorm Monday have put into our game," he added.
Twenty free PlayStation Plus subscriptions were handed out to the game’s most loyal fans.
MotorStorm Mondays was a weekly tournament held on GRcade where members would each take part in a series of races in MotorStorm: Pacific Rift every Monday, before posting videos and GIFs of highlights on the forum. The tournament came to an end last Monday, December 20th.
Evolution Studios is currently "finishing up" on MotorStorm Apocalypse, the next game in the MotorStorm series due for release on PS3 in spring 2011.
