Namco Bandai has revealed that Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon "will be a limited release in the UK", and suggested that gamers looking to pick up a copy should pre-order in advance of its July release.
Earth Defense Force earned itself a cult following after 2007′s love/hate Earth Defense Force 2017. The low budget game from developer Sandlot picked up mixed reviews from critics, despite some being blown away by its giant bug-shooting co-op gameplay.
Development of the sequel, however, has been handed over to Eat Lead studio Vicious Cycle Software. It also carries a wallet-friendly RRP of £29.99.
Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon launches on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on July 8th.
