Multiple job vacancies posted on EA’s careers website have revealed that a new IP is currently in development at EA Sports’ Tiburon studio.
According to the listings, software engineers, producers, a game designer, art director and technical director are all needed for the new IP at the Florida studio, with the job descriptions calling the IP “exciting” and a title that must meet “the high quality standards of EA”.
Unfortunately there aren’t any hints as to what the new IP could be, although one of the roles of the producer will be to hire “top quality talent”. Whenever the project’s finally revealed, expect a famous face to be backing it…
EA Sports has released multiple new IPs in recent years, including EA Sports Active and Grand Slam Tennis, which both debuted on Wii in 2009. The firm also launched EA Sports MMA on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 last year, also developed by EA Tiburon.
As well as MMA, EA Tiburon develops EA Sports’ annual Tiger Woods, Madden NFL and NCAA Football series’.
