Crytek’s executive producer Nathan Camarillo has told GamerZines that Crysis 2 looks exactly the same on PlayStation 3 as it does on Xbox 360, saying that "other than the key prompts you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference."
"No, not at all," replied Camarillo when we asked whether technical setbacks were the reason why the PS3 version is yet to be shown.
"It’s all ready to go. It looks just like the 360 version. Other than the key prompts you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
"The PS3 version runs the same as 360; 30 frames a second and in 3D, you know, everything. I don’t know why EA chose not to. I’m more than happy to show it."
Up until now only the Xbox 360 version of Crysis 2 has been shown to press, despite Crytek claiming that it was getting "slightly better performance" out of the PS3 during development last year. Obviously that isn’t the case now.
A near-final build of the PC version of Crysis 2, of course, leaked last weekend. If you want to see Camarillo’s reaction to pirates, just click through the link to your right.
Crysis 2 launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on March 25th.
