SCEE has announced that the PlayStation 3 version of BioShock Infinite will include support for stereoscopic 3D when it launches next year.
The news was tucked away in a press release issued by Sony last night following Ken Levine’s announcement that BioShock Infinite would also include support for PlayStation Move.
PlayStation 3 is currently the only console to support stereoscopic 3D. In the days building up to E3, support for Xbox 360 was rumoured to be announced by Microsoft at their E3 conference. It didn’t happen.
According to Sony, there are over 100 stereoscopic 3D titles currently available on PlayStation 3 with many more in development, including Resistance 3, God of War: Origins and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
BioShock Infinite launches on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC next year.
