ORIGINAL: Battlefield 3′s first expansion pack, Back To Karkand, will release on PlayStation Network next Wednesday, December 7th, the Asian PlayStation Store website has revealed.
The expansion pack, which contains four Battlefield 2 maps remade and updated for BF3, will be a PSN timed-exclusive, with a launch on PC and Xbox 360 expected one week later. A December 14th release for those formats seems fairly likely.
So far, EA has only officially announced a ‘December’ release window for Back To Karkand. The publisher has yet to comment on the PlayStation Store date leak.
In addition to Back To Karkand, a second expansion pack for Battlefield 3 is also expected to be announced soon.
Battlefield 3 launched on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in October. According to EA, the title has sold in excess of 5 million units.
