PS3 users will gain access to on-demand services from Channel 4 and ITV this week.
According to The Guardian, ITV’s managing director Robin Pembroke said that the move is part of an "acceleration of our distribution strategy", while Channel 4′s director of commercial business development explained that "They consoles are much bigger now and moving into the entertainment space, plus it sits well with our 16 to 34-year-old audience strengths."
The services join BBC’s iPlayer as part of PS3′s televisual package, making the console the UK’s best console for on-demand television.
