Milestone prepping the biggest Superbike experience to date with 220 riders, 141 teams and 60 bike models!
Motorsport fans constantly beg for legacy games which feature more than one season of their favourite discipline, but developers can never tend to get everything together.
Well that’s usually the case, but Milestone is changing all that with SBK Generations. The next game, which features the official FIM Superbike World Championship license, will include 220 riders, 141 teams, 60 bike models and 10 different manufacturers from over the past decade of the sport.
Troy Bayliss, Carl Fogarty and Carlos Checa are the stand-out riders to feature.
The career mode will also span the past four seasons of the world championship in order to create a more cohesive and realistic emulation of the sport both on and off the tarmac.
“Live through the generations has been our mantra since we started development on SBK™ Generations. We knew this was going to be the last iteration of our SBK series, so we wanted to give our fans something really special: the chance to experience all the emotion of the SBK championships from recent years,” commented SBK Generations game director, Fabio Paglianti.
“All the players will be able to challenge legendary champions, such as the amazing riders shown in this trailer and all in the same race, something which has never happened in a real life SBK round!”
The last game to do something like this was EA’s F1 Challenge 99-02 and it attracted a cult following despite sporting some of the dodgiest physics in any racing game.
Here’s hoping Milestone can make the most of SBK Generations historic appeal…
