Get your motors running…
Last week we went hands-on with GRID 2 for the very first time sampling both a standard race around Austria’s A1 Ring and an elimination event around Chicago. Now we’d love to tell you exactly what we thought about each track and event in detail, but we’re saving those glorious nuggets of information for the second issue of FirstLook that’s out next week.
What we can share with you however is the list of the confirmed cars coming to GRID 2 and how they stack up in relation to the game’s four different performance tiers. They are as follows:
- Tier One
- BMW E30 M3
- Subaru BRZ
- Mustang Mach 1
- Volkswagon Golf (Modified)
- Alfa Romeo Giulietta
- Tier Two
- Ford Mustang Boss 302
- Chevrolet Camaro SS
- Nissan R34 Skyline
- Nismo Z-Tune
- Dodge Challenger
- Nissan 370Z
- Tier Three
- McLaren MP4-12C
- Ariel Atom
- BAC Mono
- KTM X0Bow R
- Tier Four:
- Koenigsegg Agera R
- Pagani Huayra
Now these are just a selection of the “Superstar Cars” that will feature in GRID 2 with more yet to be revealed for each tier, but these inclusions to indicate the kind of motoracing focus Codemaster’s sequel will have. In addition to the above cars, Codemasters has also confirmed that the Dallara 2012 Indycar will also feature in addition to that series’ pace car.
We’ll have plenty more information about GRID 2 for you next week, but until then enjoy the new trailer below:
GRID 2 will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in Europe on May 31st.
