Former Tony Hawk’s and Guitar Hero team put to work on COD franchise.
Neversoft, the team that worked on both the Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero series, are now lending their talent to work on a new unnamed Call of Duty title.
GamerZines revealed last year that the studio was working on a AAA first-person shooter but a note on their website now confirms the project is a new entry in Activision’s lucrative money making war shooter.
“We have molded our team into a crack squad of eager developers ready to push the First Person Action genre in support of Activision’s Call of Duty franchise,” reads a splash posted on their official site.
Neversoft joins Treyarch, Infinity Ward, and Sledgehammer games as one of Activision’s many Call of Duty teams it falls back on to produce the series’ annual entries.
There’s no official word on whether their game is an unannounced title or whether they’re the team behind the announced Vita title Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified.
