Destiny could allow multiplayer stats to be uploaded to mobile app.
The latest round of job applications posted by former Halo developer Bungie suggests that its new shooter codenamed Destiny will feature some sort of mobile app integration.
The Bellevue studio is hiring for a senior server programmer to “help link the gameplay that happens on our console game clients to a wider world of devices and other players.”
Bungie is also looking for a mobile programmer to focus on “establishing real time connectivity for millions of users and terabytes of data.”
The sci-fantasy shooter codenamed Destiny is still in development with Activision signed to publish the game for a fall 2013 release. Subsequent releases are slated for 2015, 2017, and 2019 with four downloadable expansions to fit in between.
Former Beatles’ star Paul McCartney is reportedly tied to the Destiny project.
