“Snake is back on Fox”.Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes gameplay released, coming to Xbox 360 and PS3

Following a reveal a Metal Gear Solid 25th anniversary event last week, Konami and Kojima Productions has released a gameplay video showing off the developer’s FOX engine in action.

Some details surrounding the game were also confirmed, including the news that Ground Zeroes is in fact a prologue to Metal Gear Solid 5.

It was also announced that Ground Zeroes will be released on current generation platforms PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

No other platforms such as PC or next-gen have been confirmed at this time.

The game will star and 2010′s Peace Walker lead Big Boss commonly known as Snake.

Set after the events of Peace Walker, Ground Zeroes will feature more open world stealth allowing players to approach situations from all angles. Players will be able to hop into nearby vehicles to get around and helicopter assistance can be called in via a flare.

An interesting note regarding the support helicopter, when it approaches a song of your choice will play upon its arrival. ‘Flight of the Valkyries’ is played during the debut gameplay demo. Your choice of song can also alert guards nearby.

A suited man with severe burns who features in the trailer is assumed to be the game’s antagonist.
